«Life Expectancy of a Chemical Romance ( 0 is not a number) is a digital photograph of a body mask made of window blinds, part of an ongoing series of portraits of friends identifying as female. This portrait is from Lucy, my former lover. She is a neuroscientist and massage therapist. She is enveloped in a coral like structure made out of window blinds. Personally i have a thing for window blinds, they tried to be neutral and business like, but they are wavy and beautiful and extend the movement of the body.» Mette Sterre
