Round 04 is a wall sculpture. It was made by covering a plastic ring-shaped toy with construction plaster. The piece is a wall object that can be hung on the wall with nails.
"In this piece, I used a basic shape to create a visual representation of the internalized pain of childhood lost by young women and children who suffered abuse. The triangle symbolizes both genders. When the "blade" of the triangle is pointed upwards, it has phallic connotations that represent a masculine symbol, which symbolizes male force and dominance."

My work challenges these notions to uncover the authentic experience of women, provide them with a voice so often silenced, share their stories with audiences internationally and most importantly, empower women around the world.
